For superior performance of closures on a PET bottle it is critical to determine the angle at which a closure first vents and the angle at which it releases. The Somex Vent & Release allows this data to be determined in an accurate and safe manner. |
Description
The Vent & Release is a robust bench top device; the unique adjustable tooling accommodates regular, wide neck and sports closures without requirement for tooling change. An interlocked safety guard protects the user for the duration of measurement of the Vent and Release angle. A real time graph displays on the operator panel.
Operation
The user places a sample neck and closure pre assembled in the fixture and clamps. The user engages the head mechanism to the closure and closes the safety guard. The test pressure and closure rotation speeds are preset and stored in the machine memory. After pressing START the neck/closure is pressurized, release of the closure will begin, the angle of closure vent and release will be recorded.
Calibration
The Vent & Release is supplied with provision for connection of calibrated Pressure Gauge.
